Dale Connors, CFA is Co-Founder and Managing Director. Dale’s role as a client consultant is to research, analyze and develop strategic recommendations for client investment programs. He also leads the firm’s research in commercial real estate. Dale began his investing career in 1986.
Prior to founding Watershed, Dale was with Mercer Investment Consulting, last serving as a senior consultant and corporate officer in the Denver office. He was responsible for client relationships, coordination of analysts’ duties and was the senior advisor to the firm’s national taskforce providing development and guidance for all performance evaluation functions. Dale began his career with Principal Financial Group as an investment product specialist.
Dale has held the Chartered Financial Analyst designation since 1991 and earned a BBA in Finance with distinction at the University of Iowa. He is a member of the CFA Institute and is a former Education Chair of the CFA Society of Colorado. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and served on the Archdiocese of Denver’s Finance Committee for seven years. Dale is a frequent speaker at conferences and was recognized by Institutional Investor in 2009 as a "Rising Star of Public Funds".
